The final show for Meat Lovers May gets down to the issue of whether cholesterol is really responsible for heart disease, stroke, diabetes, cancer and many other illnesses. To shed some light on the issue is Chris Masterjohn, a grad student at the University of Connecticut, who is pursuing a Ph.D. in nutritional sciences with a concentration in biochemical and molecular nutrition. Chris is also someone whose health improved when he went from being a vegan to eating organic meats, butter, eggs, and other foods with cholesterol. He talks about the origins of cholesterol being linked heart disease. He also brings up other factors from diet to lifestyle of what could be responsible for sickness and diseases in the U.S.
