The recently opened Echo Park restaurant and bar Mohawk Bend, has had one of the strongest commitments to sustainability. It serves 65 California brews on tap, is known for its extensive menu of vegan offerings, and uses many local and organic ingredients in its food. Today, it put not only its first beef item on the menu, but one that contains grass fed beef. Next time appropriate omnivores make a trip to the eatery, they can get a grass fed patty melt to go with their California craft beer.
Today was also the first day where Mohawk Bend patrons can get the two selections of beers from the upcoming Golden Road brewery in Atwater Village. Golden Road opens in a month and is the latest project from Mohawk Bend owner Tony Yanow. The two beers being offered are Point the Way IPA and the yet-to-be-named Hefeweizen.
